    Not only was it nice to see your sister and her family, but you felt free; on the ride home back to the city you and Dante lived, you couldn't help but smile which finally made him ask, "Mind telling me what's made you so happy?" "It's been a long time since I've seen my sister and while you were with Michel, I was told I get to keep my job", you say to him; he smiled and said, "Well, at least that's good to know, (name), hopefully in no time you'll find your own place. But until then, you can stay with me" It wasn't long until you two made it back to Dante's house and with his help, you were able to get your things(which wasn't much) and put them in a spare room he had. You let out a sigh of relief as you held a small picture frame in your hands of you and your sister when you two were little with your mother; you felt a small tear fall from your face as you said quietly, "I miss you mother" "Hey", Dante's voice says from downstairs, "When do you have to be at work" 'Sh-shit', you thought as you hurried putting on your uniform. Your black shirt was replaced with a red polo shirt with black flames at the bottom, and you put your name-tag on your shirt over your heart; you rushed downstairs, making sure you had everything when Dante gets up from the couch and hands you a spare key, "Just in case I'm not here when you get home"
    You hugged him and said as you ran out the door, "See you tonight" Dante couldn't help but smile as he saw your (h/c) hair fly behind you as you closed the door as he muttered, "I wouldn't count my lucky stars yet" 'He's still out there and I don't want you involved', he thought as he went back to the couch and before he knew it, he fell asleep. You ran as fast as you could to the café when you accidently ran into someone; you quickly shouted at whoever you ran into as you continued to run, "I'm sorry but I'm in a hurry" You make it to see Savannah, your co-worker as she came up looking desperate as she says, "(name), thank goodness you made it. Listen, the band's lead singer got sick so I need you to go up and sing" You nodded your head and Savannah let you pick the song; u picked a sing you the lyrics to very well, and as you got on stage, you noticed someone that looked like Dante. He wore a black coat with some spots of blue on the coat and wore blue jeans along with a dark blue hat as he held onto what you guessed a Japanese katana; as the song began, you kept eyeing the man and noticed he had white hair that was guided back and the same color of Dante's eyes.

    The man looked at you as if he was searching for something from you as you looked away making it look like you weren't looking just at him, that's when you noticed that he was gone. You dismissed it and kept on singing.

    You walked back to Dante's house and when you walked in, he wasn't there, but you noticed a note on the key rack saying,
"Gone out. Be back soon. -Dante" You were surprised he had very neat handwriting when suddenly, a hand wraps itself around your mouth as a voice said, "Don't move. Just do as I say, and I will let you live" You had no choice but to obey this man's orders as you felt him tie your hands behind your back, cover your eyes just so that way you couldn't see him, and covered your mouth with duck-tape; you felt him grab your arm and guide you around the house until you stopped in a room upstairs and he pushed you onto what you think is a bed which makes you think, 'I must be in Dante's room' The next thing you know, bright light shines into your eyes making you blink and with shocked (e/c) orbs, realizing that the man in front of you was the one from the café but he wasn't wearing his hat and as you guessed you were dragged into Dante's room. He hovered over you and demanded, "Where is he?" You guessed he was talking about Dante as he removed a bit of the tape and you said, "I don't know. He just left me a note saying that he would be back soon"
    Dante was tired but when he realized that the door was wide open he rushed in; he could hear a commotion coming from upstairs and you screaming for help as he ran upstairs kicking down the door and came upon a scene that angered him as he growled, "Vergil" It was easy for you to realize they were twins but what you didn't understand why Vergil attacked you as you let out a muffled whimper to Dante; he looked into your eyes and saw there was fear as Vergil looked at Dante and said, "My, my, brother, you sure know how to make an entrance" "Let her go, Vergil", Dante demanded, "She's innocent-" "Shut up!", Vergil shouted drawing Yamato and pointing the tip of it at your neck, "How is it that you cannot see that humans will never be our equals? It's like I said when Limbo crashed, we must rule over them now"
    "Like Mundus did? Kat helped you into finding me, getting us to and from Limbo, and defeating Mundus but you tossed her aside like trash" This air was enough to make anyone suffocate but both brothers stood their ground until Vergil turned his back to you and you had an idea; you lifted your feet into the air and as hard as you could, you kicked Vergil dead square in the back, making him stumble forward as Dante rushed over to you, removing the tape off of your face but before he could untie you, Vergil grabbed some of your (h/c) hair and pulled you towards him. Dante stood up as Vergil placed Yamato on your neck, looking at his younger twin and said, "Take one step, and she dies" "D-Dante, help", you cried out feeling tears fall from you face as Dante replied, "It's alright, (name), you'll be alright. Vergil, please just let her go" You felt the ropes being cut off from your hands and Vergil pushed you towards Dante when suddenly, Yamato and Dante's sword Rebellion clashed over your head as you fell down but what shocked you was Dante; his hair was white as snow and his coat was red as he shoved Vergil towards a wall and you made a run for downstairs and hid in a small closet, hearing the sounds of fighting upstairs and then dead silence.
    THUMP!
    THUMP!
    THUMP!
    The sounds of boots and Vergil panting from fighting, making you think he was retreating as you heard the door open and close; you slowly walked out of the closet being careful until Dante's boots made you freeze in your tracks. You could feel your breathing slowly get faster as he walked slowly towards you and you could feel his eyes on you, making a scream choke in your throat as you turned around carefully, making sure you didn't cause any sudden movements. Each step he took towards you, you took a step back; (e/c) eyes met red eyes that glowed in the dark until you tripped on the coffee table and fell onto it, keeping your eyes on Dante, who now was on top of you. Then, the white hair began to fade along with the red in his eyes and the red on his coat went back to the inside of it and he said your name as if he was frightened himself. He let you go and you wrapped your arms around his neck and you began to cry as you felt his arms carefully wrap around you as if he was shielding you from everything that happened and he said, "I'll explain everything"

    The next morning came and you decided to call in saying you couldn't make it to work considering Dante said he would explain what happened last night. After two hours of explanation, you felt your head trying to wrap around everything he said as you summarized, "So, you're the son of an angel and a demon. Vergil attacked us last night just to convince you to rule humanity with him but he wouldn't just sit back and let you treat humans equally" Dante did nothing but nod his head as you continued to try to wrap your head; ever since Limbo had crashed into the real world, you felt fearful of demon attacks and that some people have tried to fight back. Your sister wanted you out of the city once the demons came but you wanted to stay, feeling safer in the city and now with Dante, you felt like he could protect you from anything, even Vergil. You place a hand on your forehead and say, "Oh my head hurts" "Try not to think 'bout it much. Trust me", he says placing a hand on your shoulder; he looked at you with his ice blue-grey eyes when suddenly, your phone rang, you picked it up and it was a text and you looked at Dante and said, "We need to go, its my sister"

    In no time, you two made it but the wind was gusting and demons were closing in on your sister's home. Dante let out a growl and in no time activated his Devil Trigger attacking the demons outside when suddenly, the alarms sounded, signaling a tornado was here. you hurried inside screaming for Maria when you hear Aimee scream, "Auntie (name)! Mommy! Help" You grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed the demon from behind as you used your body to cover the little girl, waiting for the death kill. Dante killed the demon hovering over you as he shouted, "C'mon! We need to go to the shelter" In the nick of time, you, Dante, and Aimee made it to the shelter to see your sister in tears hugging the little girl as Michel closed the shelter door saying to Dante, "Thank you, Dante" Dante watched the mother and daughter embrace each other and you looked at him with soft (e/c) orbs. A few hours passed and everything was calm and considering it was dark, Maria offered the guest room to you two so you wouldn't be driving in the dark. You removed your shoes as Dante removed his jacket, combat boots, then placed Ebony and Ivory on the end-table, and the both of you lied on the bed but considering how tired you were you didn't care that you were cuddled close to Dante and neither did he when he said, "I have to say that took guts using yourself as a shield" "I hope that was a compliment, because you weren't that bad yourself", you say but no response came from him, so you turned your head to see he had fallen asleep. He looked so handsome when he was asleep then it hit you; were you falling for him?
